SITE  INVENTORY

The "Linking 2 Learn" Collaborative Project has encouraged me to find
the potential in our school site and led students to enhance our outdoor
education facility.  On a beautiful Saturday in May several bat boxes,
bird perches, bird feeders/houses, an animal tracking pit, and insect
rock mound were added to a wooded lot adjoining our playground area.
Also five 12-foot trees were planted throughout the grounds.  Field
guides were purchased to encourage plants, trees, butterflies, and
rocks to be easily identified and lead to a love of learning in the
outdoors!

A special "Thanks" ...to those who supported the project:
10 local Boyscout Packs, Buckeye Woods PTA, Mrs. Bowers(staff
development), and Mrs. Shoaf(principal).
